I bought a WaW disc for pc to start playing custom zombies and I was wondering if there was a way to download Waw via torrent or some other place ? Would the custom zombies still work with the downloaded version ?

if you have the disc i don't see why would you need to torrent it, but yes there are 2 ways, either use a program to make a copy of your disc and keep it on your hard drive, or buy it over on steam. of course, you can always torrent it, but we won't really help you with that, not cause we like Activision and hate pirates, much contrary actually but we gotta keep the place legit.

Nice to see how silly people are to love money hungry jews that put out a rehashed piece of shit that is buggier and runs crappier with each release and still want to blame those who feel cheated by that policy and don't pay for something which is Anne Frankly not worth the $120. Take a look at Steam -- there's games a bajillion times better than MW3 going for less than $2, and i'm sure that with those same 120 bucks you can buy at least 30 AAA quality titles until july 22.

likewise, and I do call who's Jewish Jewish as they are proud of it themselves, and I don't give 3 or 4 craps whether it's offensive or funny either, so

Well, Activision does run one of the most successful companies due to the fact that people continue to buy the same thing year after year, but that's a different story.  But I don't think pirating is the answer either.  If one isn't willing to part with their money for a product then they shouldn't get it, period.  Making the argument that "I wouldn't have bought it anyways" is stupid cause you're getting the product still.  Pirating is also one of the leading reasons why developers are trying to limit the work they put on PC releases because they want to minimize their losses when everyone torrents it.  It only hurts the people who actually obey the laws.

That's just my two cents, coming from the standpoint of one who hopes to become a dev, I don't want people playing a game that I create without paying me for it (unless I'm specifically creating a f2p...).

If he has paid for a copy of the game, he is allowed to download a torrent legally. As long as he owns a copy of the game (Steam, Disc...) he can do that without it being illegal. But because I agree with ZM, I will not tell you where/how to obtain these torrents.

P.S. I originally had WaW as an illegal torrent, but I bought the game because I only get the game through torrents to see if it's worth my money. And that was the last game I ever got illegally. I get all my views from YT now.

+2, and this coming from a guy that used to pirate all the time to a steam sale adept, however my point that these bastards did let the true call of duty fans down in the name of profit stands.

Black Ops after 23 title updates still has a 1 in 3 chance to deadlock on startup, still has random fatal errors here and there, MW3 man, turned down $90 on that crap (SO FAR) and after these 10 title updates, 2 broke the game (BSOD on launch) and forced me to reinstall Windows in order to play it again, their "lag compensation tweaking" cripples me so badly on my i7 rig I never have 4 bars, and almost all the time I have 2 hosting (at least 300ms artificial delay) and it simply ignores 90% of my packets, now if I try on my AMD machine that has the low profile GPU, even running at 25-30 fps it lags soooo FUCKING bad the player location system doesn't work properly, players are badly offsync and it drops at least half my packets over my far superior connection compared to other brazilians (hell everyone else in the world basically, not everyone has a 100/15 Mbps link)

check this shit out, and especially the part around 2 minutes where a host migration to myself happens, and you'll understand why I can't help but remember Activi$ion's bad business standards and who runs it:

MW3 4.1 GHz AMD Phenom II X6 1090T/NVIDIA Quadro 600

also remember who cheated the entire ZM community and the Zombies fans hyping mod tools, it's been almost 2 years and they did not and will not release Radiant to us, instead they're like "here, preorder BO II so you can have a Nuketown remake"

heres were i think Activision starts royally fucking PC gamers in the ass. basically, there main demographic, is boys, ages 12-17.  They are all mostly, the casual gamer, who is only gonna play a couple hours a week. They dont have $1,000 gaming rigs, they have the console there friends do. So basically, actvivision says, " well if only ten percent of our demographic is hardcore pc gamers, why bother putting time and money in?? lets just port it over from console. Pretty much, We get less than the consoles, because we make up less of there demographic. Bottom line, there in it for the profit. Making another excellent PC cod, isnt gonna make them a big enough profit. So, yeah basically, fuck them.

  P.S., i am, a little excited for BO2. Zombies looks bad ass. just sayin.

I think the big question then is, if you bought the game legally AND still have the disc, why on earth would you want to torrent it?

@LLL LOLLLLLo
Don't think I'm standing up for Activision, they have horrific PR when it comes to PC gaming.  They have indeed killed the call of duty franchise (the mp portion at least, I still enjoy their singleplayer/zombies), and it's sad cause it used to be one of my favorite video game series.  Corporate greed has a way of ruining a lot of things unfortunately :(

Exactly, it just makes no sense. If he for some reason doesn't want to use his disc, he can get a No-CD exe for that.
I really think the OP didn't even buy the game, and probably was asking if he can play mods on a cracked game before he gets one/has one but can't figure out how to play it.
