Well I finally have beaten both Hyperius and Master Gee and have a pretty solid strategy to beat them.

Hyperius:

- I've been beating him with 2.  Usually I run a Siren setup as a medic and then there is one dps.  If you are solo and have the dps and can survive his aoe attacks, then you should be fine.  As far as damage, I would suggest at least 1 - 2 mil as a minimum.  You can go less but it will take a long time.  At 1-2 mil it will be slow.

So what I've been doing is in the beginning when you first trigger him, just unload and try to cause as much damage as possible.  Usually we get him to 50%-60% health.  Then after that just keep moving.  The minions create his shield.  So what you want to do is dmg the minions who are connected to him.  Once all links are broken, he will loose his shield.  Usually he will do his aoe attack once he looses his shield.  After that the dps guy should be full attack on him.  You will have a limited window to attack because he will re-link with minions and get his shield back.

Just keep doing that until he is dead.  Eventually when he gets around 25% health, he will break connection with his minions and go into full attack.  This is when it's the most dangerous.  He likes to do 3 aoe attacks in a row which can be tough to survive.  You really have to pour on the damage quickly.  Hopefully he chases the dps guy, but it's not a problem if he doesn't.

As afar as any weakness, I don't think he really has one.  Although he does seem weak to the Tediore reload.  I'm not sure why, but and Tediore reload seems to do good damage against him.  The one exception would be the rocket launcher.  For some reason it does less dmg.  Any high dps weapon is fine, but the Baby Maker does really good dmg against him.  It's a legendary Tediore SMG and the reloads can get 2-3 mil.  When you have 2 people or more just unloading on him, it'll kill him fast.

The trick is to kill Hyperius before all of his minions die.  We seem to beat him every time that happens.  Players can block each other form the aoe blasts and I think his minions can be used as blockers.  The turret shield can also block the blast.  So if you don't have a medic those are some other options.

I've tried melee and it just doesn't seem to work.  Maybe with proper medic support it could be done, but it's just tough to stay alive with all the rocket activity and the aoe attacks.

As the med I would have the Bee armed for the initial attack in the beginning and then switch out to a bigger shield after the minions spawn.  I think I was around 60k-70k shield with about 50k-60 health.  Basically you need to be able to withstand 3 aoe attacks in a row, which I could do with full health and shield.  A fast shield recharge is also helpful.  The dps guy doesn't need that much.  He needs to do as much dmg as possible.  Transfusion grenades are helpful  to get some extra health faster.

Master Gee:

- This is actually a pretty easy fight.  The more people the easier it is.  I beat him with 4 so far.  We had 2 sirens as medics, commando, and assassin.  It's a long fight even with good dps.  Unless you have some insanely high dps, it won't be a fast fight.

You can't dmg him until his shield is down and the only really good way to do it is to use the acid.  After you kill a worm, it will leave an acid pool.  In the middle where it gushes out is where you need to guide Gee.  He will absorb the acid and then slowly take dot dmg and his shield will continually drop.  What you want to do is jump the center.  If you walk through the middle you will absorb it instead of Gee.  The more acid he absorbs the faster he will die.  Now if Gee doesn't absorb the acid, then a player has to.  If the acid pool isn't absorbed, it will spread out to the entire area and kill everyone.  So we had one player dedicated to absorbing acid, which was me.  I was a medic with health regen, but you still need to be healed eventually.

So the fight is easy, keep killing worms and either have Gee absorb the acid or a player.  Once his shields are down, then have the dps guys start to kill Gee.  Keep killing the worms as they appear and control the acid pools.

He doesn't seem to have a weakness either.  Singularity grenades can be very helpful to suck Gee into the acid pools.  Turret can also work as well as assassin decoy.  We tried just killing one worm and then just keep running, but the worms just get crazy eventually.  Also it is really harder to not kill one eventually.  And then the acid tends to get out of control and it's game over.  It is an extremely controlled enviroment when you kill the worms as they appear.  There really is never more then one.  This also makes healing and absorbing the acid extremely easy to do and controled.

It seems like Hyperius drops the crystals and Gee drops one of the new guns.  When we killed Gee, we didn't get any crystals.  So it is necessary to kill both of them.  Neither drop good loot.  Basically you do for the crystals and the new weapon Gee drops, those pinkish/red weapons you can use the crystals to buy.

The 2nd dlc is pretty good so far.  It's the Torque company area.  A lot of it is arena type areas.  They do have new weapons and a new currency to buy the weapons.  So far regular loot drops are junk.  There is a lot of driving with maps setup like race tracks with jumps.

I finished up the 2nd DLC campaign today.  It's definitely entertaining.  Mr. Torque is fun to listen to.  Also Moxxi and Tina get bigger parts in the dlc.  They are some of the better characters in the game so it was nice to see them more.

It's all kind of arena style stuff with bosses.  It looks like there are 3 different types of arenas that you can just play over and over.  But it not just surviving.  A lot of it is on the clock and have to do a certain thing in order to beat them.  So it's nice to get some variety.

Also you can keep running a race track for people who want to drive.  Imo this DLC was more enjoyable then Pirate's Booty.

Sounds like they are repeating the same DLC strategy as the last game being that the 2nd DLC is Arena based again  turd1
